Modern technology is there to change our lives and make life more convenient. With our cellphones at hand, it has been a convenient integration in our lives.
One of the most common uses we use our phone are for apps. There are plenty of apps to help us with various social and interactive interests. App Stores seem to be saturated with health apps as people are becoming increasingly more aware of their health status.
However, there are claims that even though these apps are supposed to help change behaviour in people, it does not quite live up to its expectation.
“I think (there’s) just so much more room to grow when it comes to these health apps. They don’t really seem to reflect the behavioural sciences and what we know about behavior change,” said Sherry Pagoto, a psychologist at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
