We all want to lose weight somehow or another and some of us have heard that we should decrease our Carbohydrate take in and increase our protein take in.
Studies have now shown that a high protein diet could prove to be detrimental. Not only is it bad for your health but it shows that this could even result in death.
“These results do not support the generalised use of high-protein diets as a good strategy for losing weight,” said Monica Bullo, lead researcher of Pere Virgili Health Research Institute in Reus.
What makes high protein diets attractive is that people are given the choice to eat things such as bacon, steak and pork.
