Big loss for Vasco da Gama

Big loss for Vasco da Gama

It was not a good day at the office for Vasco da Gama who lost 3-0 on the road to Witbank Spurs in their weekend National First Division match.

Coach Tony de Nobrega and his troops will want to forget about this result after they slipped to 12th position on the 16-team NFD table.

Vasco have now drawn three and lost one of the opening four games and are still in search of their first victory.

Their next match is against KZN outfit  Thanda Royal Zulu at Parow Park on Sunday at 3pm.

Meanwhile Cape Town All Stars continue to lead the way in the National First Division having racked up their fourth successive win at the start of the 2015/16 season.

They beat Black Leopards 2-0 at Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with goals from Thapelo Mathibe and Stanley Makgoka seeing them move to 12 points at the top of the log with a 100 percent record.
