South Africa has come along way since the 1995 Rugby World cup, with our sportsman performing better each year. But at the top of the list is our swimmers who come through for us every year winning gold medals left, right and center. And now Cameron van der Burgh can add his name amongst those such as Chad le Clos when he broke the 50m breaststroke at the Fina World Championships in Russia today.
His time which is shared between him and Adam Peaty whos time still needs to be ratified, was stopped at 26.62 seconds. If Adam’s time is given them Cameron and Adam will share the world record.
This is a great achievement for Cameron and we wish him all the best for the future which is looking bright.
