CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa) was rated most trusted charity at this month’s Readers Digest Magazine Survey of Most Trusted Brands. This news came as CANSA held its annual general meeting (AGM).
“Manny de Freitas, who is a CANSA Governor representing Limpopo, North West and Gauteng Provinces, said that AGM 2014 was extra special as it came on the heels of being recognised by South Africans of all walks of life as the most trusted brand of all charities in South Africa”, according to a press release.
The nominees of the award for the Trusted Brand Survey were all nominated by South Africans, said Readers Digest Magazine.
“Making a difference to the lives of thousands of people and also being the leader in cancer research in South Africa is what we strive for but receiving surprise unexpected news such as this recognition by Readers Digest is motivational for all of us at CANSA,” said de Freitas, according to a press release.
It is their mission to continue being the leader in the field of cancer in South Africa, Freitas continued.
