Cape Town Roses crowned 2014 Sasol League National champions

The Cape Town Roses have proved that they are more than just dainty women on Sunday, 14 December.

They were bestowed with the title of Sasol League National Champions for 2014 after they gave Palace Super Falcons a run for their money at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The roses were on their toes as they scored their first goal within the first two minutes of the match. This left the Falcons with a bad taste in their mouths as they fought back. Within five minutes, Chatelle Esau’s made an attempt of scoring a goal but hit the cross-bar.

In the end the Roses had beat the Falcons, who were three time champions, 2-1.
