Special pilgrimage in Fatima, Portugal
May 2017 will mark 100 years since the first apparition of our Lady under the title of Lady of the Rosary to three peasant shepherd children, Lucia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto who were herding sheep at the Cova da Iria near their home village of Fátima, Portugal.
In the apparitions, our Lady asked the shepherds of the need for prayer, particularly the Rosary and conversion. Since then the messages of Fatima have spread throughout the world.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions, a special pilgrimage will take place from 10 to 21 May 2017 to not only Fatima and other places of related interest in Portugal but also to Santiago de Compostela and even Lourdes. This special pilgrimage will be spiritually led by Johannesburg priest, Fr Tony Nunes. Currently there are rumours that the Pope will be in Fatima with the millions of pilgrims to celebrate the 100 year celebration of the Fatima apparitions.
As this is a once-off and unique pilgrimage that cannot be repeated, the pilgrimage will accommodate only 30 pilgrims at a special price of R37 995.00 per person sharing. This price is all inclusive in that it covers the pilgrimage into three countries; Portugal, Spain and France.
