“The impact of Cancer on our lives can never be underestimated and that is why we at the MdFF( Manny de Freitas Foundation) do what we do so that we can contribute to reducing the incidence of cancer,” These were the words of Jeanette de Freitas, CEO of the Manny de Freitas Foundation.
This followed after Mariazinha Gonçalves, a mother who had lost her son to the disease, rendered a tribute to him. This awareness was brought about at Princesa Bakery in Kensington. It was an effort to bring about childhood Cancer awareness through a breakfast over this past weekend. With more than 40 women who attended, the message was clear that this disease can touch anyone.
As the message was about childhood cancer, there could be no one better than child star, Gina Gomes, to entertain the crowd of ladies with her professional Spanish dance moves. However, the presence of two guests touched de Freitas’ heart, namely, Teniqua Fonseca, Miss Republica Portuguesa Africa do Sul (Miss Portuguese Republic South Africa) and Leanne Borrageiro, First Princess of Miss Republica Portuguesa Africa do Sul.
“I am indebted to Paula Ferreira from the Princesa Bakery for the awesome preparation and work she put into the success of this event; thank you Princesa Bakery,” de Freitas concluded.
