The Ferrugem was off to a good start this year with their first meeting held recently.
The meeting proved to be successful as a lot of things that had to be done were executed in a most efficient manner. Members met at O Cantinho de Avo Restaurant in Kennelworth to appoint a new president for the organisation.
Victor Sabio was offered the role of president but gracefully declined the position as he felt that the organisation was doing a sterling job as is. The rest of the committee, including the residing president, resumed their position for another term honourably.
The rest of the meeting was reserved for an auction with the greatest auction piece, The Presunto, going under the hammer for a whopping R 1000.
A food parcel, which was auctioned off for R 400 was kindly donated to the Lighthouse Feeding Scheme.
