This pears in Madeira wine recipe is the perfect ending for an amazing meal. Besides it enhances the unique taste of the fortified beverage coming from the Madeira archipelago.
Ingredients
  • 8 pears
  • 180 ml Madeira wine
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 100 g sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream
Instructions
  1. Take the wine, the sugar, the water and the cinnamon stick to boil for about 10 minutes in low fire.
  2. Peel the pears. Dive the pears in the wine syrup and let them cook for about 15, 20 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the pears.
  3. Transfer the pears to a deep plate and sprinkle them with the wine syrup. Let them cool to room temperature and serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I am sure you all enjoy this Pears in Madeira wine recipe.
