It’s Monday and just the very thought of it is enough to drain the living daylights out of you.
We seem to course through our week by dragging our feet till we hit Friday. And in a huff our weekend seems to fly by only to start at Monday again and repeat the cycle.
Well here are a few things you can do during the week to keep your energy levels up.
When getting up in the morning, the best thing to do is start your day with a good breakfast. By good breakfast we are talking about one that consists of lean protein as well as whole grain. Whole wheat toast, peanut butter, banana and fruits should be the order of the day.
Some of us do not like greens but for those who do, and are feeling sluggish, try some spinach. This is great for a boost to your magnesium levels.
Dehydration is one of the most common causes of fatigue and naturally, the only way to resolve this is to take in fluids. When we think about re-hydrating, we sometimes think of the unpleasant thought of taking in three litres of water per day. We often forget that we can rehydrate ourselves by consuming milk, orange juice, soup and other liquids.
Getting your intake of iron is a great source of energy and this can be found in the pips of grapes, steak, beef, bread and beans.
