With the hustle and bustle of life it is hard sometimes to make the effort to eat healthy or to make sure our bodies get enough vitamins and minerals.

These days, pharmacists have made it easy for us just to open a bottle and get the resources our bodies need.

However, getting your essential vitamins and minerals from food rather than a bottle is still recommended.

We know now that if we want to keep colds and flu at bay, it is best to stock up on vitamin C. Citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons are an obvious source, but you can get it from strawberries and pineapples as well.

If you need energy, vitamin B usually helps, which you can find in poultry, eggs, fish, vegetables and bread.

Iron is important for blood building muscles and you can get that in raisins, apricots, beans and pumpkin seed.
