Majority of Portuguese are regular church-goers

When going through a trying time, many of us put our faith in God or a higher power.

A recent study has shown that regardless, Portuguese are quite religious people, with more than half of them going to church regularly. It has shown that these people go to church at least once a week.

They have also found that more than 90 percent of the Portuguese population belong to some kind of faith or religion. Of that amount , the vast majority of them happen to admit to being Catholic.

The majority of these regular church-goers happen to be 50 years and older while one in three Portuguese under the age of 40 belong to little or no religious activities.
