Mamelodi Sundowns’ young striker, Therlo Moosa, who has been sent out on loan to Vasco da Gama, says he is hoping to use his spell with the Cape Town team to convince the Downs technical team that he has what it takes to make it at Chloorkop.
The highly-rated marksman was exceptional in the SAFA SAB National Championships that were held in Stellenbosch in July, which led to his Downs move, who faced stiff competition from Wits, Ajax Cape Town and Bloemfontein Celtic for the player’s services.
With a number of experienced strikers at Sundowns’ disposal, it was always going to be difficult for Moosa to break into the starting line-up this season and, with this in mind, the club thought a loan move to familiar surroundings in Cape Town would benefit the player and the club in the long run.
He told the Siya crew,
Everything has been going well here for me. I spoke to Pitso (Mosimane) and he told me I need to go out and get game time elsewhere and that I was in their plans for the future. I hope to do the business for my club and prove that I can make it at a big club like Sundowns.
