Setúbal will have new life breathed through it thanks to a British Philanthropist who has made it her mission to restore this place. It seems as though the main objective is to make it a place of culture.
Helen Hamlyn is the name behind this much needed project. And it seems the government could not be happier with her generous contribution. This however, is not the first time that she is doing this and seems to be transforming outdated buildings to their former glory.
Her latest benefactor is the 17th century fortress of Albarquel, which unfortunately seems to have been abandoned for quite some time.
She plans to have the venue open in a year where it will showcase a museum, exhibitions as well as cultural events.
