One in six Portuguese listened to radio via the internet during the first six months of 2017, according to Marktest’s Bareme Radio study. The number of those who said they listen to internet radio amounted to 1.39 million residents in Continental Portugal aged 15 years and over. This figure represents 16.3 percent of the sample analysed.
Young people aged 25 to 34 years are most prone listening to internet radio, with 30.8 percent. The numbers decrease markedly with age increase to a minimum of 1.4 percent among individuals of more than 64 years. Among gender, the percentages went to 18.3 percent for men and 14.5 percent for women.
