Hitting the treadmill is always a good way to keep in shape, but sometimes the exercise can become just a little bit mundane. Here are some ways to change that around.
Firstly, try and set the incline to one or two degrees to burn off a little more calories. Be sure though not to set it too high and go beyond seven as this will take its toll on your back, hips and lower legs.
Getting your posture right is also very important when hitting the treadmill. Keep your arms at a 90 degree angle and keep your strides short and quick. Also, try to avoid the temptation of looking down at the stop button.
Going at the same speed all the time can be a bit of a bore, so try and alternate your speed by going faster or slower, even if it’s just for one minute.
A great way to keep your mind occupied is to boost your spirit with some great work out music. This will also keep you in the mood to work out as you can work out to the beat of the music.
