The police are calling on the public to help them find the perpetrators responsible for the murder of Celia da Costa this past weekend.
Celia, a 49-year-old business woman was on her way from the Lusito Land family festival in La Rochelle. It is believed that she had a stall at the event.
As she was travelling on the M2 Highway toward Sandton she was cordoned by two vehicles. The gang, who were armed, opened fire on her and killed her. They also took her belongings and fled the scene.
According to police’s Kay Makhubela, no arrests have been made.
“We’re still appealing to the community to help us with information of the two cars which were involved in the shooting of a woman on the freeway, where they shot her on the left side of her neck.”
