Portuguese chair inspired by spiritual world

If you are mad about design, then you will go absolutely crazy for one of Eduardo Benamor Duarte’s designs.

The Portuguese architect, teamed up with best-selling writer, Paulo Coelho to create a most unusual design. The result was a white chair that seemed to have no form at all. The rather peculiar design was created for the international event Arts on Chairs Duets.

The design drew inspiration from the writer’s literary work and tried to embody the majesty of the spiritual world.

This seemed to be the grand idea behind the chair as the thought was that “every non-human form has a spiritual essence”.

The white frame of the chair seemed to host what could be described as wooden ribs to give it its form.
