Redskins play the Pearl of the Cape

It was a beautiful day at Pearl Valley Golf Club as 36 members of the Redskins Golf Society of Cape Town found their way on the fairways in Paarl.

With the end of the year drawing closer and the Order of Merit being very tight; competition was going to be tough. The format for the day was Single Stableford and was won by Mario das Neves with 35 points. Richard Ribeiro followed in second with 34 points, determined on a count out and Paulo das Neves came third with 34 points. Sergio Pedro received closest to the pin on the 6th hole while Tino Ferreira grabbed the accolade on the 13th.

At Prize giving, the Chairman of the Redskins, Richard Camara thanked Pearl Valley for the course being in good condition. He went on to thank all members for being part of the day and added that it was an enjoyable day with great golf being played. The usual banter transpired at Prize giving with members being fined for trivial transgressions.

The Club Champs will be on the 1st October at Durbanville Golf Club to be played over 36 holes. The usual A and B Division Competition will be in force coupled with the overall winner competition.

There was no better way to end the day with the beautiful sunset over the Boland horizon.
