Portugal together with the British embassy has taken safety and security to new heights recently. A ceremony was held at the British embassy in Lisbon in honour of the launch of an organisation called, Safe Communities Portugal.
The event was hosted by Kirsty Hayes, who is the British Ambassador in Portugal and was attended by various missions as well as Dutch Ambassador to Portugal, Govert Bijl de Vroe.
The Safe Communities Portugal will be spreading its wings from Algarve to the rest of Portugal.
“I am delighted to see that the invaluable services provided by Safe Communities Algarve have now been extended to the whole of the country with the launch of Safe Communities Portugal. This innovative and important initiative should help British residents to ensure that their property and personal possessions are well protected, and keep them up to date with local developments,” Hayes said.
