On a regular basis we are all encouraged at some point to exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle.
This might not all be in vain though. Recent studies have shown that people who sit more tend to suffer from anxiety.
Megan Teychenne of Deakin University proposed that modern technology could bring about a correlation between sitting and anxiety. The amount of time spent sitting down also had an influence on the severity of anxiety as well.
“With the growing number of people spending long periods of their day on computers, in front of the TV and on their smartphones, it’s important that we determine whether sitting time does, in fact, lead to increased risk of anxiety,” said Teychenne.
