They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and nothing could be more true for artist, Artur Bordalo aka Bordalo ll.
He is known for his out of the box murals which he does on abandoned buildings in Portugal. One of his latest projects was to create a sculpture of an owl made of tractor tyres and other kinds of trash. The work, which is entitled “Owl Eyes” is part of WOOL, which is an annual festival held in Covilhã, Portugal.
“In the center of this city we have a lot of ruins and abandoned buildings,” Artur Bordalo told Bored Panda, “so that’s why I used trash to build an owl, the symbol of education and culture – both are missing in this area.” He said.
