Vasco da Gama drew 0-0 away at Baroka FC in their National First Division clash this weekend and are now two games away from completing their season.
The Mother City club will play Garankuwa United way from home on Tuesday, 5 May at 2pm. It is the day’s only NFD game and is being played as a catch up game due to Vasco going all the way to the Nedbank Cup semifinals and therefore missing out on a round of League action.
Then on Sunday, Vasco end their NFD campaign with a home clash against Santos at 3pm at Parow Park.
The Cape Town outfit are currently 11th on the 16-team table and will be looking to win their final two matches to try and finish as high as possible on the log.
Meanwhile, only a year after being relegated to the National First Division from the Absa Premiership, KZN club Golden Arrows have won promotion back to the top-flight thanks to Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Cape Town All Stars.
Arrows’ stalemate, coupled with Jomo Cosmos’ 2-1 loss to Thanda Royal Zulu, saw them mathematically secure the NFD title.
