Vasco da Gama are preparing for their next National First Division game against Cape Town All Stars on December 20, which is their final game of the year.
The NFD and PSL top-flight campaign has been halted for two weeks due to the ongoing CAF U23 Nations Cup where South Africa are in the semifinal on Wednesday night.
As such Vasco, and all teams in South Africa’s Premiership and First Division, have had to play training games and to stay sharp and focused.
After the Christmas break, Vasco’s first game of the New Year will be at home to Mbombela United on January 10.
The Parow-based club are currently 12th on the NFD table with 13 points from their 12 matches. They have 3 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses.
Vasco’s three victories have come against Thanda Royal Zulu (home), African Warriors (a) and Highlands Park (h).
