Vasco da Gama are away to Moroka Swallows in the National First Division this weekend and the stakes are high for two teams at the wrong end of the table.
Placed 15th on the NFD log, Swallows host 11th placed Vasco at Germiston Stadium on Sunday. Once a giant of South African football, Swallows are making a late run for safety. They are unbeaten in their last five games, with two wins from their last three matches.
Meanwhile Parow-based Vasco are also enjoying an impressive run. The Mother City side have earned two victories and three draws from their last five outings. Vasco are now 11th with 27 points. Their goal difference is not very good, though, at -10. Their current form reads: D, W, W, D, D. Vasco still have to play Swallows (a), Eagles (h), Milano (a), Leopards (h).
