Sabrina Alves is a 17 year old South African pop singer. She started singing at the age of 9 and through the support of her parents quickly developed a passion for music. As she progressed as a singer she started posting YouTube videos of her singing covers, her videos started reaching views north of 200 000 views.
She performed at many school concerts and was invited to sing with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra to an audience of over 1000 people. It was clear this night that Sabrina’s voice was something special and this was what she was born to do.
Through chance Scottie Moore (NEW HERO, REBURN) saw one of her videos on YouTube and made it his mission to find this girl. Soon after they met with Multi-Platinum recording producer Ameen Harron to search for her sound and began working on her debut single.
No one could of expected her first song to do so well….Sabrina Alves’ Debut single “Domino” was snapped up quickly by national radio stations and reached number 3 on the 5fm Charts. It’s stayed in the 5fm top 10 for an astonishing 9 weeks.
In April 2017 Sabrina became the first South African born Portuguese to win an International Portuguese Music Award for best Pop Category. The International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA), recognizes outstanding achievement in the music industry by international artists of Portuguese ancestry.
2017 is set to be a massive year with the release of her second single “Make a move” also produced by Ameen Harron and Caleb Williams.
Sabrina is currently in studio working on her debut Album set for release late 2017 with some exciting colabs in the works with some of SA’s top artist and music producers.
Sabrina’s dream is to perform on many international stages alongside the best in the industry.
